Should Apple fans thank Samsung for the iPhone 6?

iPhone 6 Plus and Galaxy Note 4 face to face

Overcome the hangover of the presentations of the iPhone 6 and the 6 iPhone Plus, what was anticipated begins to happen: the specialized press remembers when, a couple of years ago, Apple said that no one would buy a phone as big as the Galaxy Note. Samsung is also taking advantage to try to bring out the colors to the apple for your new product; but those of Cupertino are not taken for granted at all.

In the technology industry, we often see the heavyweights of the big firms star in very fat gaffes for talking too much. If Steve Ballmer hit a tremendous laugh (whose echoes still echo from the newspaper archives) when they told him that Jobs' brand new product was a 500 euro mobile phone, the Apple with the ideal size of screens is no less embarrassing, either.

Apple's strong initial stance

For years we have heard Tim Cook repeat like a mantra that his 4 inches was the perfect size (almost the only acceptable one) for a smartphone; while Samsung fearlessly scaled up to 5,7 '' in somewhat peculiar models (albeit with a huge pull) and converted your flagship in a 5 inch, thus establishing a benchmark for the high-end of the sector, which many follow.

Last week, Apple was presented to the media with two terminals, one 4,7 and one 5,5 inches. Far from justifying their decision, explaining the change in perspective or redirecting their past argument, the only thing Cook said was that, from the beginning, “they worked with those two sizes".

Samsung tries to make blood

The latest videos we have seen of the Korean firm seek get fat with the apple, that's clear. While some of us may find them more or less tasteful, or even completely unnecessary, this one does make some sense:

Obviously we do not expect a direct response from Apple, since Tim Cook, when asked, stated that their rivalry is with Google; and not with Samsung.

What do you think of the matter? Is Apple right to ignore Samsung and all that they have defended in the past?

It's a stupid lie ..., no one said that Apple would not make large cell phones,
