A few weeks ago we told you about an interesting device that was presented within the framework of the Intel Developer Forum and that today has been launched with first base in the United States. We refer to the hybrid tablet Asus Transformer Book T100, which moves the format with which they became so popular on Android to the platform Windows 8.1. This is not a major new development, since all companies have embraced this approach in their products with the Microsoft OS. However, ASUS has done something very interesting with the price, also equating the cost of this equipment to that of its counterparts on the Google platform.
Unlike the other model in this product line, the Transformer Book TX300, which is also closer to the laptop in size, the price of this 10-inch hybrid tablet is really low. We start from U.S. dollar 349 versus more than $ 1.000 for the 13,3-inch model.
The endowment is still not negligible. As we say it has a 10,1 inch with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels and IPS panel. Inside it has a processor Intel Atom Z3740 for the Bay Trail family with four cores. We found 2 GB of RAM and two storage options: 32 GB or 64 GB. Both are expandable by micro SD card.
In his body there is also a 1,2 MPX front camera, micro USB and a micro HDMI output to export the screen image. Its thickness is 10,4 mm, that is to say, nothing amazing.
The interesting thing is that his keyboard is included in the price. This brings a Additional USB 3.0, although it does not add any additional battery. Its thickness is almost identical to that of the tablet.
The 32GB model will cost $ 349, while the 64GB will cost $ 399. As we can see, its price is much more competitive than that of many similar devices that do not have this latest generation processor. In a way, it redefines the standard for an entry-level Windows tablet. This is possible thanks to the Intel chips that have dropped enormously in price, as we recently said.

With this processor would it be possible to add a dual boot and also move with Android?
For that I would use BlueStack
Do you know anything about when it will arrive in Spain?
Wow this is very interesting, I think it marks a before and after of the real tablets with w8 x86 in the market -regarding its clear price-, it also seems very xula 😀
