But it gives the feeling that Surface Pro it is also paying for the dishes of its predecessor. We are going to analyze criticism that have been poured into it and see to what extent they are justified.
Criticism of your operating system
This OS starts up with the mosaic version ready for touch control. Although it does not have as many applications as iOS or Apple, it is not bad and it has very nice visual aspects. Either way, if you decline this option, you can go back to business as usual.
La Windows 8 desktop version It is not very different from Windows 7 for the basic things, it starts earlier, it crashes less, it is more secure, it lengthens the battery, although it needs better equipment to work well.
If we compare the touch part with either of the two mobile operating systems mentioned above, it will go to waste in most cases, but we must bear in mind that many desktop applications we use daily to work they are in the classic version and having them is a great pleasure. In other words, you don't just have a tablet, but you have a very powerful ultraboook at the same time.
Battery
5 hours is not long if we compare them with the 10 of an iPad or the 8 of a Nexus 7, but we are not talking about the same type of equipment or processor. They are five hours being able to use management programs that we would not even load in either of those two tablets. If we compare those hours with the autonomy of any ultrabook, we see that it is not out of the ordinary.
Storage
It is true, Windows 8 is a savage compared to iOS or Android and that the 64 GB stays at 23 GB. But we can also choose 128 GB that will give us more margin and we also have SD slot to increase and all cloud storage that we want thanks to the countless services that compete today. This same aspect was criticized a lot in Nexus 7 but not with the same energy.
Price
$ 899 for the 64GB model and $ 999 for the 128GB model. It is not a cheap device, compared to the leading tablets on the market it is very expensive. However, we must also look at the prices of ultrabooks with Windows 8 next generation and we will see that it is not that far. Also, few if any have the screen resolution or are as thin or light as the Surface Pro. This last detail explains the meager battery and storage as well.
In short, this is not a plea in favor of the Surface Pro, but we just want to weigh a little perhaps excessive criticism.
