All the computer giants seem to be in the race for smart wearable devices. Microsoft works on a smartwatch according to the sources managed by the prestigious economic daily The Wall Street Journal. Those from Redmond would be in contact with suppliers and manufacturers to determine a design that would place them in a race in which companies such as Google, Apple, Samsung, Sony and LG have shown signs of being involved.
This would be the second project of wearable personal computers in which the American company would be interested. A few weeks ago, reports from Topeka Capital indicated that they were also seriously considering the possibility of create some smartglasses after appreciating the good reception among the public of Google Glass.
The New York newspaper spoke with a Microsoft manager in charge of supplies and confessed that they had one year talking to Asian suppliers to find the necessary components for a device that would resemble a watch. They also spoke with people in software development and their perspective was more uncertain, they did not know if the project would finish materializing or not.
