Pantech Vega Iron goes official with a press release on its own website. We are facing one of the phablets that has been talked about the most in recent weeks since rumors and leaks were betting on huge benefits that made it a strong candidate against the star models of the dominant brands in the market such as Samsung's Galaxy S4 or Sony's Xperia Z. Many of the rumors are confirmed although there are some surprises.
The most remarkable thing is its spectacular design. It has a all-metal housing that will make it very hard and resistant. Also has the thinnest bezel around the screen on a mobile device, just 2,4mm. That is, as we look at the phone from the front, it is almost all screen. Its dimensions are 136,3 x 67,6 x 8,8 mm and weights 153 grams.
The Korean device features an LCD screen of 5 inch HD 720p. It had been thought that it would be Full HD, but a lower resolution has been chosen. Inside it has a processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 de with a CPU of quad core 1,7 GHz. This was one of the possibilities that had been rumored, although in recent days the option that it was the first phablet in wearing a Snapdragon 800. To this is added 2 GB of RAM that together with the aforementioned chip will make the operating system move 4.1.2 Android Jelly Bean.
As storage it will have 32 GB expandable by microSDhold on until 2 TB, if you can find a card with that capacity. Its connectivity is given by WiFi and LTE. It has two cameras, a front one 2,1 MPX and a rear of 13 MPX.
It carries a battery of 2.150 mAh, somewhat small and perhaps bring less autonomy.
Pantech Vega Iron will carry a layer of its own software that we will notice in the camera with its Smart Shot that helps you choose the appropriate mode for the environment and in Sight Recognition that allows you to control videos with your eyes.
