The top 20 smartphones in the autonomy section
The first thing we can notice, if we look at this top 20 smartphones with the best battery, is that it is clearly dominated by the largest phablets, between 5.5 and 6 inches: the top 5 consists exclusively of this type of device and in total they represent more than 50% of the list. It is not a big surprise, actually, since it is something that we have been verifying with each new phablet and that is also easy to explain by the higher capacity batteries they have. It should be noted, however, the good result that some of the "mini" versions, specifically that of LG G2, but above all the Xperia Z3 Compact.
Another clear conclusion of the ranking is that there are some companies that stand out when it comes to manufacturing smartphones with good autonomy and in which it seems that it is always possible to deposit an extra vote of confidence if this is an issue that particularly concerns us. It is clear, also within expectations, that the absolute king is Sony, with 5 dispositivos in the top 20, some of which are not even high-end models. Samsung, with 4 dispositivos follows quite closely, but it should be noted that in this case practically all are part of the Galaxy Note range (with the sole exception of Galaxy S5).
If we look at the distribution by operating systems we can see that, despite the good results that devices have always obtained Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), in terms of autonomy, in recent times there have been quite a few manufacturers Android capable of surpassing them, and only the 6 iPhone Plus enters this top 20. Special mention also deserves the model with Windows of the HTC One M8, which manages to take a place in the middle of the table, while the original model with Android it doesn't even make the list.
Going to examine only the flagships of the big manufacturers, the victory is again clearly for Sony, which manages to put in the top 10 not only the last of them, the X, but also its predecessor, the X. LG did a great job with him LG G2, but the Quad HD display of the LG G3 It makes him falter in video playback and has taken him away from the top positions (20 hours). Neither the model with Android of the HTC One M8, as we said, neither the iPhone 6, they manage to pass the cut either, although the smartphone of Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), lags behind with much more difference: the first one remains at the gates with 23 hours, while the one from Cupertino is still many positions behind with 20 hours. Samsung if you place your current Galaxy S5 in the top 20, albeit by the hair, but it makes up for it with the brilliant results of the Galaxy Note 4.
