Google Maps Waze

Great news for those who use their mobile or tablet as a navigator in the car or to calculate traffic routes. The Waze traffic notifications are already integrated in Google Maps for Spain. In this way, we will be able to find out about the incidents that this service collects thanks to your user community and their participation.

A few months ago we told you that Waze had been bought by Google. This application developed in Israel collects the reports on traffic conditions and transmits them to other users on a map on their usual routes. The cooperative dynamics It is what has led to its success.

For a month or so, a list of countries among which I do not know Spain was able to enjoy this information from the community from their devices. Today the service has reached 45 more countries among which is ours. To check its operation simply enter Google Maps and calculate a route by car to any place. You will see that it indicates the density of the traffic with colors and the incidents with icons, which by clicking on them will give us concrete information about what happened.

It seems to me that you have been doing that for a long time in Maps, surely it is information from Waze?

Yes, in fact, when it is an accident reported by someone from Waze it indicates it when you click on the icon 😉
