A new image would confirm a lower capacity battery for the Galaxy S6

S6 battery

Although what we would be most interested in seeing now would be a photograph that would definitely reveal the final design of the Galaxy S6, the truth is that images components are always interesting, taking into account that very often they help us to know some of the characteristics of the devices, as has happened in this case with some of the battery of the future flagship of Samsung, who have revealed to us what will finally be their capacity.

A lower capacity battery, but more autonomy?

Last week we echoed some leaks that ensured that the battery of the Galaxy S6, in addition to not being removable, it would have a smaller capacity of the Galaxy S5, for the simple reason that Samsung it has tried to reduce its thickness as much as possible, and one tends to have direct implications for the other. The difference, however, would not be too great, since it would supposedly be 2600 mAh (that of its predecessor was 2800 mAh). Today, a photography of said battery, allows us to confirm that figure.

The really important question is another: should we expect a worsening of the autonomy of the Galaxy S6 comparing it with that of the Galaxy S5? Of course, for the moment we can only speculate, since nothing will definitely put us out of doubt except the independent tests that can be done when the device hits stores. The problem would be that not only battery is of less capacity, but the screen is expected to have a larger resolution. It seems, however, that now that we know a few more details of the Exynos 7420, particularly that its consumption will be up to 35% lower than that of previous generations, there are reasons for hope.

What do you think? Do you trust that Samsung will be able to optimize the consumption of Galaxy S6 so that the section of autonomy does not suffer?
