Alcatel Pixi 3, the first smartphone with three operating systems

Alcatel has just presented one of the most interesting devices that could be presented in 2015. And it is not because its hardware configuration is spectacular, because it has a surprising camera or because some of its functions are unpublished. It is due to its ability to run three operating systems: Android, Windows Phone or Firefox OS. This terminal marks a milestone by being the first to do so and could, if effective, open a way for other manufacturers to follow in the coming months.

Until now, there have been several manufacturers, especially tablets, who had put together two operating systems on the same device, usually Windows and Android. However, they have encountered a series of problems derived from the lack of understanding of Microsoft and Google, which have not given any facility to those who have risked betting on this idea. Asus and its Transformer Book V showed a way to make it possible, although it is not ideal.

It is incredible that after the obstacles that manufacturers who believed in Windows and Android duality have had to overcome, Alcatel has also managed to add a third to the list. The new Pixi 3 will arrive in four different sizes, 3,5 / 4 / 4,5 / 5 inch, of which the three largest will have LTE connectivity while the smallest has to settle for 3G. They will be available in a wide range of colors and the rest of the specifications will almost certainly be revealed at CES, although they will almost certainly fall within the segment of mid-low range.
