Android 5.0 Lion: Does Kitkat continue on the path?

In the past course Google already surprised us by baptizing its version Android 4.4 with the unexpected name of Kitkat; thus breaking the usual sequence of naming each delivery with the name of a dessert and assuming complicity with a commercial brand. The contract with Nestlé, as suggested by benchmarks discovered last night, may be extended in the next iteration of the system. Android 5.0 Lion emerges as a more than feasible option.

It is necessary to be cautious in this regard, since the benchmarks are manipulable and previously there was other information that pointed in a completely different direction, however, the possibility that Android L reaches users with the name of Android 5.0 Lion begins to take space in the specialized press after the appearance of some benchmarks of the hypothetical next Nexus.

Making room for the new statue in Mountain View

Just one day before Apple's keynote in which the iPhone 6 and in which quite possibly the update to iOS 8, Google began to make a hole in the gardens of its headquarters in preparation for what is usually the rite of presentation of a new Android.

Lollipop o Lemon Meringue Pie were the options that were considered previously, although after Kitkat, Leo (some bars and cereals also from Nestlé) does not sound at all crazy.

Confusion regarding the new Nexus

If we accept the Android 5.0 Lion name as legitimate, we are left with another uncertainty; and it is that the benchmarks from which this designation is taken belong to a Nexus 5 (2014), with which, the Nexus X it would be discarded. Of course, it is confirmed that the new Google device will have 5,2 inches, being practically a replica of the new Moto X, albeit with improved specs.

Chocolate lion

We are sure that the iPhone 6 will generate movement in the market, therefore, it is not at all out of the question that Google will pronounce soon regarding this issue.
