Android 5.0 Lollipop now available via OTA for the Vodafone LG G3

Good response from LG upon the arrival of Android Lollipop 5.0. The South Korean company, which has historically stood out negatively when it comes to updating its devices to new versions of Google's operating system, this time has been ahead of many of its competitors, at least when it comes to flagships. The LG G3 begins to receive Android 5.0 Lollipop in Spain although at the moment only those of the British operator.

The rumors come from afar, in fact the release of Android 5.0 Lollipop for the free LG G3 was announced a long time ago. But it is finally a reality, users of LG G3 by Vodafone in Spain they are in luck, since the manufacturer has been faster than on other occasions to update its flagship, one of the first devices to include the QHD screen and a benchmark in the Android market.

The new version of LG's custom interface, Optimus UI will change remarkably with the incorporation of Material Design, as as we could see with some images that were filtered and that they gave us an orientation of what the final result would be. Of course, we can not expect anything similar to what we have seen in the Nexus terminals, since LG's customization is quite deep in terms of aesthetic aspects.

To carry out the update it is recommended to have the device with at least 80% battery charge, back up the data and use the WiFi connection so as not to exhaust the megabytes of the rate that we have contracted. Owners of the LG G855 D3 model will soon receive the notification advising them of the update, in any case they can check if it is already available through the program PC Suite (connecting the smartphone to a computer) or from the mobile phone itself in Settings> About phone> Software update.

We hope that soon the LG G3 of other operators as well as the devices purchased freely will join the list of upgradeable. The turn of the LG G2 will arrive in January if the information that has been published is true.
