The French brand Archos has made official a new range of tablets of which we could already see two models at the last CES in Las Vegas. Is about archos platinum, Android tablets that have a looks very similar to iPad and that they have more than remarkable technical specifications. Until now we knew an 8-inch model and a 9,7-inch model. To them is added one of 11,6 inches.
We could see two of these tablets in a video that came out shortly after CES and that we offered. The range has standards that all three models strictly comply with and then differ in size and resolution of the screen, internal storage and, of course, in price.
This standard requires a IPS panel display. Inside they have a chip made up of a 1,2 GHz Quad Core CPU accompanied by a 8-core PowerVR SGX 544 GPU. This makes us think that it is not a Rockchip chip since they work with Mali GPUs. Therefore, we lean more towards MediaTek. Either way, to this we have to add 2 GB of RAM.
This combination will move 4.1 Android Jelly Bean which will have a small layer of its own software in which the famous Archos Media Center with its great video player, which can be downloaded for other Android tablets.
The internal memory will be 8GBse can be expanded by microSD up to 64 GB and we can export the image by miniHDMI. We can also connect accessories and other devices by USB 2.0 OTG. In all of them we find a 2 MPX front and rear webcam.
En Archos 80 Platinum we have a screen of X. Its price will be $ 199.
With Archos 97 Platinum we get a screen of X, that is to say, coinciding in this way in format and resolution with the iPad. This will be worth $ 299.
Lastly, Archos 116 Platinum will have a resolution X. It is curious that having the screen larger than the previous one, it has less resolution. For we already know what the French brand is playing with the previous model. Its price will be $ 349.
The first two will hit the stores before the end in February while the last one will arrive in April.
