ASUS is already with its foot on the gas to launch new tablets. Today we talk about the review of one of the most special that it has. The new FonePad HD 7 is already on its way to European stores. This is a vitaminized review of its special 7-inch Android tablet with phone functions.
Just yesterday we gave you a tip which pointed out that the newer MeMO Pads and FonePad were in the oven. Well, the second one is already out and starting its European distribution. From Notebook Italy, the same source from yesterday's leak, refers us to a list of a French online store where you can see the product for only 232 euros in its 8 GB version.
The model is called ASUS ME372CG and its technical specifications match the leaks. The screen of the FonePad HD 7 is the same as that of its predecessor, 1280 x 800 pixels. What does change is its chip. Now we have a Intel Atom Z2560 with a double processor at 1,6 GHz but also accompanied by 1 GB of RAM. The operating system that would come from the factory would be 4.2 Android Jelly Bean.
The cameras also improve, passing the rear to be 5 MPX instead of the 3 MPX of the previous one. All connectivity options remain.
We understand that little by little it will appear in more stores and we will have a more realistic approach to prices and storage versions.
The strange thing about this launch is that it has not received the usual spotlights that the Taiwanese company's teams capture thanks to the organization of presentation events. Although, this is not the first time that they decide to reinforce the FonePad in hardware. Some months ago, launched a second version with 32 GB of internal memory, the first being 16 GB, but which in turn improved the chip from an Atom Z2420 to a more powerful Atom Z2460.
