In this way, buy tickets for the IFA 2014 fair that will take place at the beginning of next month in Berlin.

The year began as usual with one of the most important events in the technological world, the CES of Las Vegas. Asus showed there the PadFone X, a device that gave continuity to one of the most daring bets of the Taiwanese: a phone that works independently, which in turnz can be inserted into the back of a tablet (thanks to DynamicDisplay technology) with some hardware characteristics (screen, battery, camera) of its own but that uses the smartphone as a motor, also having access to all the data stored in it. An innovative concept that has its followers.

It was in the month of March, several weeks after we learned the first details that Asus revealed when we met all information regarding the device. The phone has a 5 inch Full HD (1.920 x 1.080 pixels) while the tablet amounts to 9 inches with a resolution of 1.920 x 1.200 pixels. The processor, contained within the smartphone is a Snapdragon 800 with quad cores at 2,3 GHz, accompanied by the Adreno 330 GPU, 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage expandable via microSD. Camera of 13 megapixels on the back and 2 megapixels on the front, although inserted in the tablet it is reduced to 1 megapixel. The battery is 2.300 mAh but its capacity increases when they are joined with 4.999 mAh more (can be used to charge the mobile). WiFi AC, Bluetooth 4.0, LTE and Android 4.4 Kitkat complete its specifications.

Asus PadFone Xmini

We have gone through all the features for guidance as the mini version registrations with the FCC they have not revealed too much information. Only the name: Asus PadFone X mini and the phone's battery (2.050 mAh), in addition to the network bands that leave the doubt that it will be exclusive to AT&T in the US again. There are rumors that it could be reduced to a 4 inch smartphone to be inserted in a base (tablet) about 7 inches. We will also have to see if the specifications are more modest or it maintains a high profile. It is not the first mini version of a PadFone model, at the end of last year they presented the Asus PadFone mini 4.3, this time it fit into the mid-range.

That it already has the approval of the FCC means that it is close to its presentation, so we will have to be vigilant, the IFA 2014 Berlin is too close and could be a good opportunity to show this product to the world.
