La science fiction is undoubtedly one of the genres that has proliferated the most among video games in general and games for mobile devices in particular, but this week, to accompany the premiere of The Martian, we have decided to bring you a selection with some of the best that are specifically dedicated to the space travels. Galaxy on Fire 2
We start with one of the most popular games of this genre, loaded with action, but in which, as in the classic Martian games, all the combat takes place aboard our nave. This is, however, in everything that it resembles those, since the complexity of the game mechanics and the graphic level, of course, are light years away and are the most current. It is also the only game on our list that is free download, so it is probably the most recommended for those who are going to start in the genre.
Dead Space
Dead Space is another title that comes to us from video consoles and is also loaded with action, only that in this case the confrontations will be man against man (or rather, man against monster) for those who prefer the shooters conventional. The combat system and the graphics are at a very good level, but what is most worth highlighting about this game (something to keep in mind also if we are looking for something relaxed) is what oppressive and overwhelming that calls to be the atmosphere that the story and the settings create.
Knights of the Old Republic
We continue with another action game, although in this case we already enter the field of RPGs. There is a huge difference also with regard to environment, since Knights of the Old Republic is the great classic of PC games inspired by the Star Wars saga and the story he tells us has heroic overtones that make it much more enjoyable (including a few touches of humor). The main drawback that can be put is its price, but it is compensated with many hours of play and replayability.
Star traders
We were talking to you last week about Star traders as from one of the open world games more interesting, and we cannot resist including it in this top 5 as well, because its theme could not be more appropriate, as it focuses on one spaceship that we will command and whose fate (piracy, trade, smuggling ...) is in our hands. It is also a RPG, but quite different from Knights of the Old Republic, with less story weight and more strategic and resource management components.
