The best Chinese tablets with Android (2017)

Not long ago we did a pretty thorough review of the best chinese tablets of the moment, but since then a few Android models have been added to the list that may be worth considering as an alternative to the best mid-range tablets or even the high-end ones in some sections. We review all of them.

Mi Pad 3

La Mi Pad 3 It is not a recent launch, on the contrary, it was the star of our selection of Chinese tablets, thanks to its clear leadership Xiaomi in this area. Despite the fact that a few months have passed since its launch, it is still a fantastic option, especially for those who prefer smaller tablets, and we now have the advantage that we can already find it cheaper in some importers, with prices that even drop from the $250. As you already know, we have here a 7.9-inch screen with 2048 x 1536 resolution, Mediatek processor, 4 GB of RAM, 64 GB of storage capacity (without micro-SD, yes) and Android Nougat, in addition to a camera of 13 MP.

Teclast T10 and Teclast T8

Right now the most interesting alternatives to Xiaomi are probably the new tablets from Teclast, which we can also find in two different sizes. Although we have a 10.1-inch screen in one and an 8.4-inch screen in the other, they share practically all its virtues, from the 2560 x 1600 resolution, to the 13 MP cameras, through the 4 GB of RAM memory, the 64 GB of storage capacity (accompanied, here, by a micro-SD card slot), also arriving with Android Nougat and premium design details, such as the metal casing and the fingerprint reader. There are a couple of points in favor, however, for the smallest, which is that it has USB type-C and that the location of the reader, on the front, is more comfortable. The Teclast T10 sold for more than $200 and Teclast T8 by a $180.

Teclast P10

From the same manufacturer, for those looking for a somewhat cheaper tablet, it is worth taking into account the Teclast P10, released a bit earlier and more modest in technical specs, but also cheaper (being found at various importers for just over $100 right now). What exactly would we be sacrificing? The most important differences are in terms of resolution, although yours with 1920 x 1200 pixels is still good, and in the performance section, where we find a Rockchip processor and 2 GB of RAM. This is perhaps its weakest point, because a Full HD screen is not really much to complain about. We also have less storage capacity, but 32 GB expandable via micro-SD go a long way.

Cube X9 Freer

Cube has also presented us with a tablet with a spectacular screen, with the same 2560 x 1600 pixels that we find in the new Teclast. It's not comparable to either of the two when it comes to size, however, because it falls in the middle at 8.9 inches (which would theoretically bring it closer to the Teclast T8, but the truth is that it may already be too large. for those looking for a compact tablet). It does not have a fingerprint reader, but it does have a USB Type-C port, and it also has 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage capacity (expandable via micro-SD). It must be borne in mind, yes, that the Cube Freer X9 It comes with a lower Mediatek processor and with Android Marshmallow, but on the other hand we can find it for around $150.

Honor Waterplay Tab

Honor, Huawei's low-cost brand, also gave us a nice surprise recently with the Honor Waterplay Tab. What sets it apart from the rest is above all its being waterproof, a feature that is always appreciated when thinking about trips and vacations and that, unfortunately, is quite rare among tablets. It also has a fingerprint reader, USB Type-C port and Harman Kardon speakers. The processor is a Kirin 659 and is accompanied by 3 GB of RAM, but there will be a variant with 4 GB as well. More positive data: it comes with Android Nougat and offers us 64 GB of storage capacity and a micro-SD card slot. Unfortunately, that if, in this case, we will have to wait a bit because it is not yet in the importers.

Onda V10 Pro and Onda V10 Plus

wave v10 pro

Although it is a somewhat less popular manufacturer, it is worth considering Onda's tablets as well. To V10 Pro we knew her for a few months, she can be found for around $200 And it is another interesting option if we want a screen with 2560 x 1600 resolution and laminated, and with it we will also enjoy 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage capacity (plus micro-SD slot). In recent weeks, however, Onda presented us with another variant, the V10 Plus, which will allow us to enjoy the same screen with a much lower price (less than $150) and with the same processor. The sacrifice that we will have to make is in the cameras (something we can do without much trouble), in the internal memory (and 32 GB is still enough for most) and, the one that we will notice the most, in the RAM memory (which stays at 2GB).

Which one to keep?

Of course, for many the size and price will be decisive, but it does not hurt to think carefully about the importance of the screen and performance sections for us, and we would perhaps advise not to be too dazzled by the number of pixels and pay pay attention to the processors and the RAM memory as well. In any case, in recent days we have been dedicating our comparative these new models and you can take a look at them to learn more about the strengths and weaknesses of these tablets.
