Among the many tablets that have reached the stores in this month of June about to end, a few very interesting models have been incorporated into the mid-range, so the battle is on fire right now. Which is the best mid-range tablet right now? Which of them would we recommend more than any?
New arrivals and stomping
Leaving aside the slightly special case that is the Mi Pad 3 (due to size and because they have to be imported), they have undoubtedly been Huawei y Lenovo the brands that so far have done the most to win the title of the best mid-range tablet in so far in years. Their MediaPad M3 10 Lite y Lenovo Tab 4 10 Plus are two great options on Android, and Lenovo has also presented us with what is perhaps the best Windows mid-range to date: the Miix 320. In the iOS environment, Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), also launched a iPad 9.7 cheaper, but at 400 euros it is still difficult to consider it a mid-range.

Only a few small details allowed us to tip the balance. A rival still very difficult to beat: the Galaxy Tab A 10.1
The truth is that with a price of 260 euros, the MediaPad M3 10 Lite becomes a most complicated rival, but is it enough to dethrone the Galaxy Tab A 10.1? Because of Samsung It was an excellent tablet already when it was launched, but maybe still a bit expensive. In recent times, however, it has dropped in price significantly and it is a difficult option to resist: its price is fluctuating a lot, but right now it is up to less than 180 euros and it has resolution Full HD, processor Exynos and is in the process of updating to Android Nougat.
If we see it next to the tablet of Huawei, this surpasses it in a few points: it has a metal casing (and this not only has aesthetic value, but also helps to keep the components in good condition), more RAM, more internal memory, an 8 MP front camera (the least relevant to everything, perhaps), and comes out with Android Nougat out of the box. With all this in mind, it may well deserve the crown of the best mid-range tablet. However, in the mid-range the quality / price ratio is fundamental and it seems to us that Galaxy Tab A 10.1 still hard to beat (80 euros is still a major price difference, after all), so it would probably still be our first recommendation.
The queen for how long?
A separate question is how long the reign may have left to the Galaxy Tab A 10.1. To begin with, if your tablet Huawei the price continues to drop is going to make things very difficult for you. To continue, there are still many months to finish the year, we still have the IFA ahead of us and autumn is always the time of releases. What would happen if bq, for example, renewed its Aquaris M10, which has been released for quite some time?
But it is that among the next releases could in fact be a new Galaxy Tab A (The 8-inch model has already given the first signs of life), and its successor will undoubtedly bring interesting improvements, but it will be more expensive as well, and we will have to wait to see how much technical specifications and price go up. The crown may change hands soon, therefore. Meanwhile, if you seek a 10-inch tablet of a certain level as cheap as possible, the occasion is probably worth not letting go.
