Windows is on the rise in recent years, and that the platform reached the segment of tablets with a considerable disadvantage if we compare it to its rivals, Android and iPad. Still, the growing demand for devices capable of producing content, such as tools for the professional field, is driving Microsoft; especially after Satya Nadella take control of the Redmond firm and together they devise a well-defined and targeted strategy.
As we mentioned a week ago, we think it is necessary a strong midrange for the platform despite the fact that we have good examples of what it can be, and that the arrival of AMD Ryzen processors can mark a before an after for Windows 10 tablets.
Best Windows tablets from Chinese manufacturers
Without a doubt, this is the category that faster go, and practically every week we have interesting news on the ground. At the end of 2016, we wrote a topic about the best Chinese tablets, and most of them worked with Windows 10 or, at least, with a system of dual boot.
However, today we must add a few devices to the list.
Cube i35 / i7 book / Mix Plus
If you look at manufacturers, Cube it has very very powerful equipment. Last year you can rescue the i7 book, while afterwards the Mix Plus and, more recently, the i35. All of them are convertible guarantees, with Intel Core m3 processors. The first two also have support for pencils of Wacom.
Teclast X98 Plus II / Tbook X16S / X6 and X5 Pro
Teclast It is, in our view, the other Chinese import firm that is worth keeping an eye on. Their devices range from a medium-high range to typical tablets with Windows and Android powered by an Intel ATOM X5 processor. Among the latter, we test here the Teclast X98 Plus II and it absolutely convinced us, with a design very similar to that of the iPad, while the Tbook X16S offers a form factor and keyboard clearly inspired by the Surface.
If we want something more powerful, however, we have the X5 Pro and X6. The first one has a design, again, inspired by the Microsoft Surface, while the second shows similarities with the Lenovo Yoga. Both are powered by an Intel Core m3 processor.
Xiaomi Mi Pad 2
If what we want is a device cheap, reasonably powerful and very well built, the clearest option brings it to us Xiaomi. From my point of view, someone not a fan of MIUI, the good thing is that in the Mi Pad 2, we will not have to deal with the Chinese manufacturer's cape.
Best Windows 10 tablets in the mid-range
The mid-range is maybe the weakest point of the platform at the moment, as we pointed out in a recent article. The fundamental problem is that the equipment we find cost from 500 euros onwards, because what the differences with Android are bulky.
