CyanogenMod launches its official cases for the Nexus 5

CyanogenMod Nexus 5 cases

Since Cyanogen Inc became a company we are seeing curious movements of this firm that, at first, was known basically for developing one of the Custom ROMs most popular Android system. After having its pluses and minuses with Google due to the withdrawal of an application from the Play Store, now Cyanogen surprises us with the commercialization of its Nexus 5 cases. We show it to you.

CyanogenMod announced yesterday via your group of Google+ the launch of some covers to protect (and personalize) the Nexus 5. As you can imagine, given the passions that this custom ROM raises among its faithful, the ad was quickly filled with comments requesting more information about the product and requests for other terminals. The truth is that they look good.

CyanogenMod Case Features

The accessory is manufactured by Cruzerlite, it comes decorated with the CyanogenMod logo and is available in four colors: turquoise, light Grey, smoky gray y black. The material of which it is composed is thermoplastic polyurethane (commonly known as TPU), very resistant to wear and tear and with a high degree of transparency.

The truth is that Google is behaving with official accessories for the Nexus 5 in this 2013, although last year's model was a bit more neglected, but these cases can be an interesting alternative to the Bumper or quick cover, especially if we are fans or simple users of the ROM.

Price and how to buy from Spain (or any other country)

The price of the covers is U.S. dollar 14,90, which translated into our currency would be about $11. Sales are open to any country although, obviously, the extra expense is on us. The same website where the item is purchased incorporates a system to calculate the final price that we must pay for shipping costs and taxes. In the case of Spain they are U.S. dollar 12.

Ultimately, about 30 euros is what it costs to get a copy of these covers if we live in Spain. Obviously, they can be found similar for only 2 euros, but they are not from CyanogenMod. Whether or not it is worth the expense depends on each one.
