FastFit is Belkin's slimmest keyboard for iPad mini

Belkin FastFit

Belkin FastFit it's her new ultra-thin keyboard for iPad mini And it only comes a few days after one of its big competitors in accessories for Apple products introduced a very similar product and at exactly the same price. The hallmarks of this model are lightness, finesse and a long battery. This competition is undoubtedly beneficial for the consumer, since they will have the possibility to assess which of the two options offers a better value for money.

This Belkin accessory is very reminiscent of Logitech's Ultrathin Keyboard for iPad mini from which we talk to you some days ago. The approach is almost identical. It is a keyboard exactly the same size as Apple's small tablet that it is magnetically assembled to one of the sides of the device. By means of hinges it can be folded over the screen and thus protect it from blows, that is, it has holster function.  When we open it, we can relocate the tablet horizontally in a second slot, we do not know if this is magnetic or not but we suspect that it is, since it will remain more fixed. In that position we have access to keyboard. The keys on the keyboard are the TruType type that Belkin says help you type more precisely like a normal computer. Belkin FastFit

The connection of the keyboard with the tablet is achieved by Bluetooth 3.0 and in the keys we also find the shortcuts or special buttons to control the iOS operating system.

It has a 200 mAh battery that gives it 155 hours of use. Regarding design, it should be noted that it is thinner than the iPad mini itself with only 7 mm of thickness and its weight is lighter than that of the tablet.

It seems that what differentiates it from the Logitech is that thickness and perhaps the battery. Here we see exactly the hours and capacity but with the Ultrathin Keyboard they tell us that you can use it two hours a day for three months. This is approximately 180 hours, which is slightly longer than Belkin's. Both are charged by microUSB.

The arrival date of the FastFit seems imminent although it seems that it will be a little later than its rival that is already in pre-sale. Will come by the same U.S. dollar price 80.
