When will a second generation of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S?

Last June 2014, Samsung presented its new Galaxy Tab S 8.4 and 10.5 putting the icing on the cake for a first half of the year full of new announcements. The new range assumed the role of reference within the South Korean catalog, in the style of the Galaxy S on smartphones. Now that all eyes are on the Mobile World Congress and precisely on the new Samsung Galaxy S6, the manufacturer would have started working on the second generation of its star tablets.

Samsung is going to carry out in 2015 a profound remodeling of its catalog of tablets, bringing it on the same level as that of smartphones, also in full swing, with the appearance of Galaxy Tab J, Galaxy Tab E and Galaxy Tab A ranges, whose first representatives, the Galaxy Tab A and Galaxy Tab A Plus have already been almost completely leaked, at least on the spec plane and waiting for images or new information on its physical appearance, possibly with metallic finishes.

Even so, it seems that the Asian firm will keep the Galaxy Tab S that were so well received last year and so many good reviews accumulated as "flagships". So much so that references to models have already appeared SM-T710, T715 SM, SM-T810 and SM-T815. The first two would be identified with the new 8,4-inch Galaxy Tab S, with the model finished in 15 being the one that would include 4G LTE connectivity. The eight hundred would be the two variants (only WiFi and 4G LTE) of the second generation of the Galaxy Tab S 10.5.

We recall that the original Galaxy Tab S were labeled as SM-T700 and SM-T800 models, which would indicate minor differences with respect to its successors, hence the little difference in numbering. And the truth is that it is not surprising, since the two tablets announced in June are still among the best today. Its screen is still considered one of the most cutting-edge in this market and many of the components would hardly need a revision, so the main change that is expected is the processor, Samsung could include the new Exynos 7 Octa 14nm or some new chip model.

Regarding the presentation date, we hope that the fair that takes place in Barcelona and the following weeks will shed some light on this matter, but everything seems to indicate due to the deadlines that are beginning to be handled that they could repeat and show them to the world around mid year.
