Samsung continues to leave good news to its users, with another device that joins the list of those who have already taken the coveted Android Lollipop: just a few days later that we knew that also the compact tablet of the range Galaxy Tab S was receiving his ration of lollipops, today it is the turn of the Galaxy alpha, the forerunner of the range A Galaxy and their metal housings.

The truth is that you cannot blame Samsung not be trying too hard to upgrade your devices to Android Lollipop refers, especially taking into account the wide range of its catalog, because the truth is that news in this sense happens quite quickly. It is true that in the case of Galaxy alpha it was expected to arrive at the beginning of the year, but not to be one of its flagship receiving it now still seems quite positive.
The news has come to us from Korea, where as of today the main operators are already launching the update. As is often the case, unfortunately we don't have a confirmation of when it can be expected to reach the rest of the world and it will most likely take weeks until we have it in all countries, but at least now we know that the process is underway.
The version that has been released is Android 5.0.2 and, as was to be expected, it is the same one that has been Galaxy S5 and not the one we find in the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy Edge S6. It will bring us, in any case, a few improvements interesting in fluency and, theoretically at least, also in autonomy, plus a few new arrivals in the menus and in functionalities.
