The barrier that traces the differences between phablets and smartphones is becoming more diffuse, especially with regard to the size of both types of devices. Without going any further, today we compare the new formats of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and the LG G2 in a video where you can see the lines of one and the other visually and directly. We analyze the proposals.
If we talk in terms of specifications, the Galaxy Note 3 and LG G2 show a fair amount of similarities - both come equipped with a processor Snapdragon 800, has a Full HD screen and cameras 13 Mpx.
Super AMOLED vs IPS LCD
However, the differences are also quite remarkable. The Galaxy Note 3 mounts a screen of 5,7 inches and returns to the design lines of its first generation, which, curiously, had a size similar to that offered today by the LG G2 with its 5,2 inches. The technology Super AMOLED Note 3's panel also marks distances with the IPS LCD of the G2, on the one hand we have a higher brightness and, on the other, more realistic colors. The preference for either of the two is still a matter of taste.
Which one offers better benefits?
Regarding the sections in which one stands out clearly over the other, we must focus, in favor of the Galaxy Note 3, on the 3GB of RAM, a figure that undoubtedly represents a leap in quality and that future generations of mobile devices will have to incorporate if they want to be at the forefront. On the part of the LG G2, we have the optical stabilizer of your camera that performs especially well in low ambient light environments.
On the other hand, Samsung works with a good number of proprietary applications optimized for your S Pen, as well as with a multitasking system that allows to operate on several screens simultaneously. In this sense, the team of LG It is more traditional and has more of a smartphone than a phablet, however, it is also a more manageable, transportable and comfortable to hold with one hand.
