La Google Keep update is here. The new features included make the Mountain View note app a step closer to the rivals that surpass it, especially Evernote. The main improvements are the implementation of reminderyes, a navigation bar that facilitates organization and more facilities to include images.
Despite still being very far from the capabilities of Evernote, the application reigns in this sector, Keep is already a useful resource and versatile enough to serve users who only need to write down small things so as not to forget them.
Reminders are included when creating a note. We can assign a specific date or place. This means that we can choose a specific time or place for the alarm to go off. The time is simply adjusted with a clock, although we can choose more lax concepts such as morning, noon, afternoon and night. For places, they are limited to cities or towns or places of importance such as airports.
The good thing is that once we are notified with a little alarm, we can postpone the notice in 1 hour or another time, bringing us a menu where to change the set time.
The second improvement is the navigation bar which follows the design spirit of all Google and Holo apps.
Finally there is the option of insert images directly from gallery. Before, it only let you take a photo from the application. If you wanted to use an image from your gallery, you had to go to it and share it through Google Keep. In this sense, they save us steps.
All the previous functionalities like attaching audio, the lists with checkboxes and the power to change the colors is maintained.
If you do not have Keep on your tablet or smartphone, we recommend that you try it to see if it suits your needs, although, of course, you should also try other apps to assess it in its proper measure.
