Google is making a great effort to be increasingly fierce competition not only to Apple's technology but also to its content. For them, it is not only necessary to take care of the selection in quantity and quality, but it must be made available to the largest number of consumers possible. Since last night Google Play Music is available in Spain, thus having access to the entire Google music catalog from the Internet but, more importantly, from our Android devices through the Play Music application.
This move was something that we had been waiting for a long time and that seemed completely necessary to consider equally the user experience of the two queen platforms of mobile devices. Along with Spain, the service also reaches France, Germany and Italy. As many other European countries will continue without it, as well as throughout Asia, Canada and Australia, but at least it makes a move.
The question is what Google Play Music allows us to do.
This service allows us to access a large number of songs and albums of artists, with agreements with most of the large distributors. Some have to buy them and others are free.
Once we buy or acquire them, we have access them from any device and we can Download.
At the same time we can upload up to 20.000 songs from our own music library to which we will then have access from the application online. It does not matter if they are downloaded, from iTunes or other music services.
To some of our songs, both purchased and uploaded, we can access offline, offline, from your phone or tablet by marking them as such. There is a limit, of course.
Another very good thing is that we can share on social networks the music that we have bought or that we own. With the one we have bought, we give our friends the possibility to listen to it once for free and then the link to the purchase remains.
In this way we already have all the content services of Google in Spain: Apps, Books, Movies and, finally, Music.
