Although in the keynote of the Google I/O the protagonists were the What's new in the second beta of Android 9.0 P and, logically, it is to be hoped that a few will continue to be reserved for upcoming releases, on the last day of the developer conference we were able to collect some first clues of the changes and functions that we can expect to come yet.
Sound improvements and more changes to the multitasking screen
One of those clues, as they tell us in Android Authority, has come from what was literally the last session of Google I / O and refers to what has been called for now "Sound amplifier”, A new feature that developers will be able to get their hands on and that will offer a huge variety of options (more than 100) to make adjustments automatically and improve the sound in real time. We are not talking here only about music, of course, but the benefit will be extended to all kinds of apps.
We have also known, this time through 9to5google, that we still have to wait for some changes in the new recent apps screen that will come to replace the current multitasking and that, apparently, is still being polished. We do not know if there will be more news, but it has been specified, for example, that an option will be reintroduced to close all apps.
Google will force manufacturers to introduce security updates more frequently
While the changes to the interface and new features may not attract as much attention, security improvements are critical and Google it is also working in this direction. We must start by saying, yes, that this news that comes to us from XDA of a session on the question referring to Android P, it is not really clear when it will materialize.
What they did specify from Google is that they are working to force manufacturers to carry out security updates more frequently, through the various agreements they have with them regarding authorizations for the use of Android. It seems that the objective would be to get them to make use of the patches that those of the search engine release monthly.
Still exploring the second beta of Android P waiting for the third
It is possible that some of these news, and others that will be saving Google on the sleeve, surely we can see them already in the third beta (which is expected to arrive at the beginning of summer, but for which there is still no precise date), although for sure some more are still reserved for the final version. In any case, hopefully we will have some more clue than what awaits us before.
Until then, in any case, what you have to do is familiarize yourself with all the new arrivals that has already left us second beta, which is still being shredded by the experts to make sure we don't miss a thing. We will be attentive to see if anything interesting is discovered yet, but for now the most important thing seems to be without a doubt the new gesture navigation, the new screen of multitask and the new "adaptive battery”, Which you can take a look at on video.
