We are getting used to seeing flagships whose prices easily exceed 800 and 900 euros, which has justified that sometimes they are even called "ultra-high-end", but it is still perfectly possible to find high end phablets with somewhat more reasonable prices, especially if we take a look at models launched only a few months ago (even more so if we are willing to accept some even older ones), to which we must add the best of the low-cost phablets that come to us from China. We review a few of the most interesting options that we can find right now with maximum prices around 600 euros.
Galaxy Edge S7
Let's start with one of the most expensive options on the list, but also one of the highest: the Galaxy Edge S7 is in charge of filling the gap left by the Galaxy Note 7 and one of the advantages it has and that can make us forget the S Pen model, is that its price is much lower. This is one of those models that were launched a few months ago and that is worth taking into account, because it has little to envy the most recent ones and can be found without too much difficulty for around $600. For that price we can enjoy what is still one of the best cameras in a mobile, with 1,4 micrometer pixels and f / 1.7 aperture, which the experts still consider the best screen (a Super AMOLED Quad HD) with the added appeal of lateral curves and very powerful processing (Exynos 8890) accompanied by 4 GB of RAM.
Nexus 6P
Although the pixel XL be now the one that takes all the attention and the future of Google, Nexus 6P can still be found in some dealers with really tempting prices, sometimes lower than the $500. In this case it is a model from last year, but again, if we look at the technical specifications, we will see that except for the processor (a Snapragon 810 instead of a Snapdragon 821) it is practically identical to the new phablet of the search engine company, including key sections such as the screen (Quad HD) and the camera (12 megapixels 1,55 microns). We will not be able to enjoy in it, yes, the latest software developments from Mountain View, but at least we are guaranteed to continue being one of the few who will immediately enjoy the new versions of Android for a while yet.
Huawei P9 Plus
We have in the list two devices of Huawei, which is always a company to consider when looking for a good quality / price ratio. The first of them is the most recent, and also the more expensive of the two, although it must be said in its favor that it comes with 64 GB RAM memory, which in itself helps to make up for the difference a bit. It is also justified by having a processor of more levels (Kirin 955, the company's penultimate high-end chip). It is a good option, on the other hand, for those who are more interested in the possibilities that a dual camera, than a camera with larger skins, like the one in the previous two. His, in addition, like that of the new Huawei Mate 9, arrives with the Leica seal.
Huawei Mate 8
Now that we have a new Huawei Mate 9 On the way to the stores, it is a time to get hold of a Huawei Mate 8 at a good price, something that is particularly interesting if we take into account that 6-inch phablets are, by the simple fact of being larger, always somewhat more expensive. than normal too. We will be able to find it without problems for less than $500 and in some distributors still below $400 And, despite the fact that this model is almost a year old too, we are still going to have a fairly level processor (Kirin 950). It is true, however, that his successor will come with a price of $700, which is still quite reasonable, so it may be worth considering making a slightly larger investment.
Moto Z
El Moto Z de Motorola / Lenovo is another of the high-end phablets still from this year that we can find already for around $600 and that should not be lost sight of, because even without additional modules, it has a few attractions, such as the screen Quad HD or the processor Snapdragon 820 accompanied 4 GB RAM memory. It is true that it does not have a design as elegant as others, on the other hand, but it must also be granted that it is the thinnest phablet (little more than 5 mm) and lightweight (only 138 grams) of its size, which makes it a perfect choice for those who want a large screen but dislike larger devices. The only thing to keep in mind is that its reduced thickness is compensated by a slightly smaller battery, so it is not the best option if we are looking for a good autonomy and we do not want to get an extra module.
OnePlus 3T
We could not close this selection without including some example of the best that the Chinese low-cost market can offer us and, although a reference to Mi 5s Plus and My Notes 2 is a must, we have decided to choose to highlight the OnePlus 3T, which has the advantage that it can be bought from Spain.
