How to customize HTML signatures in iPad emails, with and without jailbreak

Surely many of you are tired of the typical "Sent from my iPad" that is attached as a signature to each email that is sent from the Tablet. Officially, iOS itself allows you to customize the signature of the emails, although in a too simple way. To do this, you have to access Settings and enter the "Mail, contacts, calendar" menu. In it, in addition to being able to organize the synchronization with the different email accounts, there is a section called "Signature".

Clicking on it opens a plain text field where we can customize the signature we want to send. Despite the fact that you can put several lines, nothing enters that is not pure and hard characters, that is, no images, links, etc.

No jailbreak mode

In order to use HTML signatures in the default mail application of the iPad, since if you use the Gmail or the recent Outlook.com application we can use the predefined ones for the computer, and without the need to jailbreak it will only be necessary to open an account on this website : http://coolgeex.com/iPhone-Signature-Creator.

Despite being advertised as for "iPhone", it actually works across the entire iOS universe. We can indicate both name and company, telephone numbers, emails, web, social networks, etc. all with links and being able to customize the size and color of the letter. In addition, as you can see in the last image that we show you, it is also possible to attach an image or logo to add it to messages.

When saving a signature, they send us an email to the account that we have indicated with a link that can only be opened with an iPhone or iPad. This automatically launches the writing of a message with the signature that we have defined.

This is the big downside of this process, that to be able to attach the HTML signature you have to go through this link because if we start writing from the iOS Mail application itself, it will put the one that comes by default in the system.

Jailbroken mode

As always, the jailbreak, Cydia and its tweaks offer a more interesting solution. Stop by to download Signify, an interesting package that costs $ 1,50.

Once installed, it appears as one more of our extensions with two basic fields, one in which to put the HTML code of our signature that we can then preview.

The only difficulty is that we must create the HMTL code of the signature and copy it into Signify. For all those little versed in this web programming language, Signify has a FAQs section in which it gives the basic notions to be able to create the signature code.

Once we have established the signature in Signify, when we open a message in the mail application, the one we have programmed will appear instead of the one set by default by the system.
