With the daily use of any electronic device, it gradually slows down and fills up with all kinds of files and programs with all the applications that we install and delete from it, even running out of available space in the internal memory of the device. Likewise, if we are going to sell or give away the tablet, we may not want the other person to be able to consult the information stored in it in order to preserve our privacy.
Deleting all the files manually can be quite an annoying task, especially if we have hundreds of files and folders in the internal storage and we do not have enough knowledge to know how to differentiate between user and program folders. For these and other reasons from time to time it is advisable to restore the factory settings of the device so that all the files stored in the memory are erased and the Android operating system is reinstalled again to recover the performance that our tablet had on the first day .
To do this we simply have to access the settings menu and there search Personal> Backup and restore.
From here we can configure the different aspects of automatic backups in our Google account. Similarly, at the bottom we will see a section called "Personal data" with an entry called "Factory data reset."
We will see a summary with all the data that will be erased from the device: accounts, applications, music, photos and all the content saved in the sdcard partition, leaving the operating system as the day we bought the tablet.
By default the data stored in the micro-sd will not be deleted. If we also want to delete the information on this card, we must connect it to the computer and format it from there.
Once everything is ready, click on the "Reset device" button, enter our access pin and the process of restoring the tablet to factory settings will begin. This process will take around 5 minutes and, once finished, it will start automatically without any program or any previous configuration, just like the first day.
Excellent, if it served me. Thanks
Good Morning.
My tablet has two systems, android and windows 10, the second being the one that does not work correctly (I cannot even access it due to a misconfiguration of the touch screen caliber). I was wondering if factory data reset from the android system would also work to reset the windows.
Thank you very much.
