Little by little manufacturers are confirming which devices will embrace the new version of Android introduced just a few days ago, Pie. Although several firms were cited with the presentation of the OS, some others have wanted to reserve themselves and make their corresponding announcement now. This is the case of HTC.
HTC had not yet commented on updating its devices. When Android Pie was announced on August 6, Sony, Huawei, Xiaomi, OnePlus, Esssential, Nokia, Oppo, Vivo were cited "And other brands" without going into more details and without the Taiwanese company showing up. That perhaps made more than one owner of a house phone nervous, but luckily the firm has already spoken, confirming which specific models are going to receive the update.
It has been through his official Twitter account in which he has announced that Android 9 Pie will come to the phablet HTC U12 +as well as the models U11 +, U11 and U11 life (The latter comes with Android One, by the way). What he has not given is times, and has limited himself to pointing out that the deadlines for each terminal will be announced "in due time."
We're pleased as pie to confirm updates to Android Pie for the HTC U12 +, U11 +, U11, and U11 life (Android One). Timeframes for roll-out will be announced in due course.

It does not have to follow, therefore, in the wake of Essential or Nokia, firms that have already begun to move their corresponding Android 9 packages between their teams. Without going further, Essential released its update a day after the announcement of the system and Nokia has only taken a couple of days to do the same.
And the rest of the phones, HTC?
One of the models that people are demanding the most after the announcement is the HTC 10. Launched last year, it has become the great absent from this list in which the firm has preferred to focus on its most recent smartphones in the U range. . We do not know if there will be an expansion of the list in the future or definitely HTC plans to simply focus on the equipment described. Do you have an HTC? Update or not?
