Today we are going to face the new Huawei G9 Plus to another of the great launches that we have attended this summer in the field of the mid-range-basic range. We refer, of course, to Pro redmi, a device that leaves us Technical specifications very interesting for its price and an always very tempting option if we are looking to save as much as possible on our next smartphone. What are the reasons that can lead us to opt for the new phablet of Huawei, in addition to saving us the import? We will try to find out with this comparative with the Technical specifications.
Integrated
Although there are a few important design differences, such as the location of the fingerprint reader or the incorporation or not of a physical home button, at least you have to recognize both of them having security measures that can almost be considered essential, in addition of the good finishes that metal housings always leave us.
Dimensions
Regarding the dimensions, we find two very similar devices in terms of size (15,18x7,57 inch against 15,15x7,62 inch), although it is necessary to recognize the G9 Plus a significant advantage in terms of thickness (7,3 mm against 8,2 mm) and another appreciable also in terms of weight (160 grams against 174 grams).
Screen
Where there are not too many differences is in the screen section: as usual in the mid-range, both have a screen of 5.5 inches with Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080), which leaves us with a pixel density of PPI 401. The main difference between the two is the type of panel used, since while the G9 Plus mount an LCD the one of Pro redmi it is an OLED.
Performance
The balance will probably tip on the side of the G9 Plus in the performance section thanks to the fact that it mounts a Qualcomm instead of a Mediatek (Snapdragon 625 against Helio X20), although it must be recognized that the characteristics of this second are quite similar to those of the first (eight cores and 2,0 GHz maximum frequency vs eight cores and 2,1 GHz maximum frequency). Both also have 3 GB of RAM in the standard model and 4 GB in the premium model.
Storage capacity
Not only are mid-range phablets rapidly adopting the fingerprint reader and metal casing from the higher-end, they are also increasingly arriving with 32 GB internal memory expandable through micro-SD, as we see what happens with both the G9 Plus as with the Pro redmi.
Cameras
It's pretty easy to award the win when it comes to the front camera to the G9 Plus, since both are quite "conventional" and their number of megapixels is higher (8 MP against 5 MP), but it is not so simple when it comes to the main camera: that of the phablet of Huawei is 16 MP and has an optical image stabilizer, while in the Xiaomi we have a dual camera of 13 + 5 MP.
Autonomy
Where we should have no problem giving the advantage at least (while waiting for results of tests of real use) to Pro redmisince its battery has few rivals in terms of capacity, and that of the G9 Plus, although also very powerful, it stays at a certain distance (3340 mAh against 4050 mAh). It must be remembered, of course, that consumption is just as important, so it is always advisable to take these data provisionally and with caution.
Price
El Pro redmi has against it not being sold in our country, which will make our satisfaction with the purchase finally depend on the conditions of the importer, but its price is significantly lower, equivalent to about $200. Bill G9 Plus, meanwhile, has been announced by $320, but we can buy it directly, with all the comforts that that implies.
You compare a 320 turkey phone with one of 200 even knowing that the Redmi Pro has three variants and all three are cheaper.
