Although first news we have of this new MediaPad C5 are limited to a few details of its technical specifications, these are revealing enough so that we can outline it as a tablet of Midrange, closer to the high than to the basic, a bit along the lines of the MediaPad M3 10 Lite or MediaPad M3 8 Lite (which never came to our country).
In fact, it seems that it would be more specifically a successor to the second, although it is true that in that case the name change would be rare, which according to these sources would be the end (its code name for the moment would be Monet). Be that as it may, and regardless of the name with which it arrives, with a screen of 8 inches with resolution Full HD or with a Snapdragon 435 it is clear that it would come to replace that one.
We will still have a few months ahead of its launch, anyway, so there will still be time to receive new news and confirm or discard features and other details. For example, in these first records in which he has been seen, he has done so with Android Nougat, but it is not possible to imagine that Huawei launch a tablet at this point with this version and it is sure that it would be updated to Oreo before going on sale.

Although the name does not match, and thinking that perhaps this could change, the truth is that it is inevitable to think that this tablet may have something to do with the MediaPad M5 8 of which records appeared at the end of last month, simply because it is strange to think that Huawei could launch two such similar tablets in the next few months.
Some of the technical specifications also coincide (such as the Full HD screen) and we already mentioned that it seemed that that MediaPad M5 8 was called to succeed the MediaPad M3 8 Lite. For that, however, it was speculated with more spectacular characteristics, such as a dual camera or the water resistance.
It could simply be that we are facing two versions of the same tablet and, in fact, part of the information we had from the MediaPad M5 8 he was referring to one that in principle would be launched only in Japan, so maybe it is not even planned that the two will reach all markets. We cannot do much more than hypothesize about it for the moment but, as we said before, surely more news will eventually arrive that will allow us to clear up the doubts that we still have.
