iPad Air nearly doubles iPad 4 in performance in Geekbench 3 benchmark

Apple claimed in its last Keynote that the A7 chip it was twice as powerful as the previous A6X that we found in the fourth generation of its tablet.

The A7 found in the iPad Air spins a little faster than the one found in the iPhone 5S, specifically at 1,4 GHz for the 1,3 GHz of the smartphone.
