Exactly a week ago the new tablet debuted Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), and just before it goes on sale, some media in the United States have had the opportunity to test it and give their verdict as far as their main strengths and weaknesses it means. We highlight the fundamentals of the first evaluations of iPad Pro 10.5.
Its main virtues
A waste of power. Those of Cupertino promised us that with the new A10X the new iPad Pro they were going to improve its performance by up to 30% compared to the first models and, indeed, all those who have been able to get their hands on it already confirm that the user experience in this sense is spectacular, with extraordinary fluidity with any application. It seems that once again, the professional tablets of Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), can stand up to the Windows when it comes to pure power.
The ProMotion is really appreciated. There hasn't been much praise for the wider color gamut or higher brightness levels, but no one has stopped commenting, with the 120Hz refresh rate unanimously positive tones that really make a difference when using the tablet, with visible effects even simply when moving up and down a page quickly, but especially when using the Apple Pencil.
The increase in size is appreciated. An inch or so on a tablet can be crucial, and not only as a multimedia device, but even more remarkable when it comes to a device to work with, so the new design of the iPad Pro 10.5, thanks to which we can enjoy a larger screen, it has been something that has elicited the most positive comments, even if some feel they still need an even bigger one (but that's what the iPad Pro 12.9, we would say).
Cameras typical of a smartphone. It is true that we are always the first to insist that cameras are a secondary section in a tablet, but that does not mean that the iPad Pro 10.5 stand out in this section and, from what has been seen in the first reviews, many analysts have been pleasantly surprised to see that the tablet of Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), had become in this sense a device as powerful as a iPhone.
Its main flaws
Even more expensive than its predecessor. We are not used to hearing criticism of the price of Apple devices, used as we are that they are always one of the most expensive options, but with this latest model already exceeding the barrier of 700 euros, this time we have found enough references to this issue, especially since to get all the juice we would still need to buy some of that iPad Pro 10.5 accessories (or several).
Wait for iOS 11. We have also found that many on their list of cons have included the fact that iOS 11 is a fundamental tool to fully exploit the potential of the iPad Pro 10.5 to work and that we will not enjoy it immediately. Logically, this is a minor problem (compared especially with the price), since, after all, it will be solved after the summer.
