Simply Surface 2 could be the name of Microsoft's next Windows RT tablet

Microsoft Surface RT

RT linked to the name of Windows or its first generation of tablets has not brought the best of luck to Microsoft. That is why it is possible that the latter will be simply call Surface 2, leaving the term RT solely for your OS. This is clear from the records that an advertising company has had of two devices that used its ad network for Windows.

AdDuplex has noticed that lately and with some regularity it detects devices entering its system whose name is Microsoft Corporation Surface 2 y Microsoft Corporation Surface with Windows 8.1 Pro. Several conclusions can be drawn from such results.

From the first appellation we could infer that it is the new generation of the tablet that uses Windows RT but that the RT particle has fallen by the wayside.

Two theories could be drawn from the second set. First of all, that Microsoft was testing Surface Pro of the new software about to be released. Second, that it will actually be the second edition of this latest tablet.

If we took into consideration this last possibility, we could conclude that the two new models of the second generation would already be in the testing phase prior to their presentation. At the same time, one could bet because in the simplest there will be a change of strategy in the Branding.

In the AdDuplex data there are also records of Nokia tablets. They have left samples of the RX-107, 108, 113, 114, 115 and 116 models. They could refer to different degrees of evolution of two models, the first two being one and the next four another. Maybe it's the WiFi and WiFi + LTE version of the recently leaked one Nokia SiriusTablet.

Ultimately, Windows RT is not off the map, given that there are at least two new models on the horizon. What does seem certain is that a murky past is disguised a bit, by means of a change in the name.
