Performance

El Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 is currently practically unbeatable if we compare its processor with that of other tablets, since the Snapdragon 805 what mounts (with quad core and frequency of 2,5 GHz) is still very little spread, although the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 is one of those who are closest to standing up to him thanks to his Snapdragon 801 (of quad core at 2,5 GHz as well) and has the advantage of having more RAM memory (3 GB against 2 GB).

Storage capacity

As is often the case, even though victory should in principle be for the Kindle Fire HDX 8.9, the equipment that initially offers us a higher capacity hard drive (64 GB against 32 GB), the possibility offered by the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 to expand the memory externally through cards micro-SD it may actually be a more advantageous option for many users.

Cameras

The two tablets are quite even in the camera section, with two sensors of 8 MP for the main camera. In both cases we also have LED flash. Regarding the front camera, in the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 we have a 2,1 MP, and in the Kindle Fire HDX 8.0 another that allows us to record with 720p quality.

We can practically afford to discard the price factor when choosing between the two tablets, since they are very close, especially if we take into account that we are talking about high-end devices: $379 for the new Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 y $399 for Galaxy Tab S 8.4. The situation may change, however, in the near future, if the prices of the tablet of Samsung (something common after a few months on the shelves, as you already know).
