High-end devices tend to hog the majority of headlines and covers. Without going any further, we can take as an example the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 and all the repercussion that this has generated, the week of its announcement. On the one hand it is logical, since they are the ones that mark the technical advance of the sector with their innovations, but on the other hand, they are not the devices that are sold the most and therefore, the ones that may most interest a majority of consumers who are looking for cheaper alternatives. LAVIE Tab E TE508 and TE510 join this list of alternative options tomorrow and we are going to present them to you.
As indicated by the figures from the latest research reports carried out by several of the most important analyst firms, one of the sectors that has grown in number of sales contradicting the negative trend of the tablet market in recent months, is that of the "white label" tablets. They are tablets very cheap who are able to satisfy basic needs (check email, browse, watch a video ...) of a large majority of users, who prefer to spend little on one of these models than to leave a paste to have "the latest of the latest" and not take advantage of it.
NEC Personal Computer plans to launch tomorrow, July 23, 2015, two of these devices under the LAVIE Tab E brand. Specifically, we were talking about the LAVIE Tab E TE508 and LAVIE Tab E TE510, which initially only available in Japan, although often these devices, depending also on their success, end up reaching import websites.
LAVIE Tab E TE508
This first model has a screen of 8 inches with HD resolution (1.280 x 800 pixels), a processor of quad core that work at 1,3 GHz and is accompanied by 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage expandable via microSD cards. It offers WiFi, Bluetooth and microUSB 2.0 connectivity, mounts a rear camera of 5 megapixels and a 2 megapixel front, the battery has 4.290 mAh capacity (8 hours of autonomy in web browsing) and runs Android Lollipop 5.0. Its design is not bad either, with only 8,9 millimeters thick and 354 grams of weight. Its price is $167 to change.
LAVIE Tab E TE510
The second model has, as you might suspect from its name, a screen 10 inch IPS although in this case it is resolution Full HD (1.920 x 1.080 pixels). The processor is also quite better, it is about the MediaTek MT8165 Quad-Core clocked at 1,7 GHz, supported by 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage expandable via microSD cards. As you can see, this is a much more capable team and has features that go a step further, such as the integration of the technology of Dolby Atmos sound, which guarantees a brilliant sound.
In terms of connectivity we do not find great differences, it has WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 and other ports, as well as a battery of 7.000 mAh capable of supporting 9 hours of video playback. Their cameras are 5 megapixels the main one on the back and 2 megapixels the secondary one. Like his younger sister, he has a 8,9 mm thickness although logically its weight is greater, 522 grams. It also runs Android Lollipop 5.0 by default, one of its greatest assets and its price is 246 euros.
