El MWC starts, and hundreds of media and audiences of all kinds from all over the world, remain expectant at the surprises that may come from the largest companies on the planet during the Barcelona event. In the last few hours, terminals have already come out that have caused a sensation, such as the return of the Nokia 3310. However, conventional mobiles and their successors in other formats such as phablets, are not the only protagonists of one of the most important technological events. Chinese companies are getting muscle again and in this case, they intend to achieve greater relevance through larger media.

A few days ago we told you something more about Miix 320, the latest of Lenovo of which some details had already been revealed. However, with its official announcement, more details have emerged about this model that would begin using as a claim a superior autonomy, at least in theory, which we are already used to seeing in the rest of the terminals in its category: The 2 in 1. Will a durable battery be the only interesting thing about this tablet, or will it have other characteristics that will allow it to start with an advantage in a segment in which we are already seeing a multitude of bets from dozens of firms?

Integrated

The most outstanding thing in this regard is the fact that, according to the portal PocketNow, the Miix 320 will be available in two tones: Gray and white. If the keyboard is incorporated, the weight of the terminal exceeds by very little a kilo of weight. The existing photographs show a slim terminal, without very pronounced thickness and with softer frames that closely resembles the notebooks in the strict sense released by the company and which are grouped under the Yoga series.

Here we find properties with which this model aims to get closer to domestic audiences. A display of 10,1 inches to which is added a resolution Full HD. Its camera reaches 5 Mpx, which allows it to offer a correct quality when making video calls and recording videos. As an addition, we find a Dolby Advanced sound system. At the same time, in the operating system we find a series of programs and applications aimed at entertainment.

Performance

In this field, the latest from Lenovo does not turn out badly. Despite the fact that in various portals they assure that their processor will not be one of the most cutting-edge, this component will be borne by Intel. Specifically, it will be a Intel Atom x5 that, on average, reaches speeds of around 1,8 Ghz. One of the attractions of the Miix 320 is the fact that it has multitasking modes as we will see later, which is due, in part, to a RAM de 4 GB which, despite staying away from the higher models, can improve performance. The storage capacity remains at 128 although more details have not been revealed about whether this last indicator can be expanded by means of Micro SD cards or not.

Operating System

On other occasions we have commented that in the field of convertible tablets, the bet chosen in most cases is Windows 10. The latest from Microsoft is also present in the Lenovo device. As we said a few lines above, we found a multitasking mode that allows us to open several applications and work in different windows simultaneously. It has two USB ports and in terms of connectivity, it stands out for its support LTE that at first glance, ensures high speeds in some such as 3G or 4G. At the beginning we also told you that autonomy was another of its strengths, at least, according to its manufacturers. From CNET have echoed a battery that would reach the 10 hours of duration and that would allow prolonged use both when browsing the Internet and working on the device, as well as when playing audiovisual content.

Availability and price

Presented during the Mobile World Congress alongside other devices from Lenovo affiliates such as Motorola, the Miix 320 it could start shipping in about two months. We would find significant variations in terms of its cost, since there could be a first version that would reach the $269 approximately, to a higher one with the keyboard and a higher connection speed included that would be around 400. In CNET they assure that in the American markets, this model would be around the U.S. dollar 200 in the case of the terminal without keyboard and prepared only for WiFi networks.

As you have seen, Lenovo would be willing to achieve a privileged place not only in the field of convertibles, but also in the middle segment of this type of device, where, as happens in smartphones, we find a greater variety of models that result in higher competition than in other groups. What do you think about this tablet? Do you think it will be able to position itself as one of the most attractive convertibles at least during the first half of the year, or will we see other terminals that may complicate its trajectory? You have more related information available, such as more details about the latest members of the Yoga family so that you can give your own opinion.
