La Aquaris M10 is another rival that must always be taken into account when presenting a new 10-inch mid-range / basic tablet and it will be measured today in our comparative new MediaPad T3 10. Integrated
As we have already seen in other comparisons, even when we face it with tablets with good finishes and stylized lines, such as the Aquaris M10, and even if there are not too noticeable differences in its design, the new MediaPad T3 it still has an important point in its favor and that is to arrive with a metal casing, something interesting not only from an aesthetic point of view but also in terms of durability.
Dimensions
The tablet of Huawei in the dimension section, especially with regard to size (22,98x15,98 inch against 24,6x17,1 inch), although it is partly at least because its screen is a bit smaller, as we will see below. The difference in thickness (7,95 mm against 8,2 mm) and weight (460 grams against 470 grams), in fact, although they exist, they are quite minor.
Screen
As we anticipated, the screen of the MediaPad T3 is a little smaller than that of the Aquaris M10 (9.6 inches against 10.1 inches). It is curious, however, that, although tablets of its size normally use the 4: 3 aspect ratio (that of the iPad, optimized for reading), the Huawei tablet uses the same as the Aquaris M10, which is 16:10 (optimized for video playback). Regarding the resolution, keep in mind that the bq tablet is sold with two different ones: an HD (1280 x 800), with which they would be tied, and another Full HD (1920 x 1200), with which he would win.
Performance
In the performance section, there are two differences to take into account: the first is that the tablet of Huawei mount a processor Qualcomm (four cores to 1,4 GHz) and of bq un Mediatek (four cores to 1,5 GHz), although its characteristics, as you can see, are quite similar: the second, that the MediaPad T3 arrives already with Android Nougat. It may also be interesting to note that although the standard model of both leaves us 2 GB of RAM, the first has also been announced in a premium version with 3 GB.
Storage capacity
The balance tips to the side of the Aquaris M10However, when we go to the storage capacity section, thanks to the fact that it has a card slot micro-SD, which from what we have seen so far, it seems that it would be a feature that we could not enjoy with the MediaPad T3. The internal memory, in any case, would be 16 GB on both tablets.
Cameras
The bq tablet is also the winner in the cameras section, although it is true that for most it will not be a very relevant victory. If we frequently use the cameras of our tablet, however, we may be interested to know that with it we will have one of 8 MP in the back and another of 5 MP on the front, while with that of Huawei we will have to settle for 5 and 2 MPrespectively.
Autonomy
We cannot say with the same forcefulness that the Aquaris M10 also come out victorious in the autonomy section, because consumption is an equally important factor and that cannot be accurately estimated only from technical specifications, but what is certain is that it starts with a very broad advantage in the battery capacity section (4800 mh against 7280 mAh) and, if we bet on the model that has the same resolution as the MediaPad T3, this should be reflected in actual use tests. We won't be able to confirm this until we have comparable results from independent tests, but a priori it doesn't seem like a too risky prediction.
Price
We do not yet know how much the MediaPad T3 10 when it is launched in our country, and although we can take the price of the current MediaPad T1 10 (about 150 euros) as a starting point, presumably the new one will be somewhat more expensive. This would leave her quite close to the Aquaris M10, which can already be found in some dealers for a few $180 in its version with HD resolution (which would be the most similar to the Huawei tablet) or for a few $220 in its version with Full HD resolution. To know exactly how much the difference in price will be, however, we will have to wait. We will be attentive to inform you when we have the first details of the arrival of the tablet from Huawei to the shops.
