Microsoft Office Mobile comes to iPhone. iPad will have to wait

Mobile office

Microsoft Office Mobile has arrived on the App Store. This means that from now on iOS devices will be able to use the Redmond office suite. At first the application has only been optimized for iPhone, so iPad users will have to wait. Being sure that sooner or later a version for the Cupertino tablet will arrive, we will tell you the essence of the premiere.

To be able to use this application you must have paid before the Office 365 subscription. For those who do not know what it is about, it is a service that allows us to manage Office files with a kind of client that at the same time uploads them to the network, where the documents are always hosted. We could say that it is Microsoft's Google Docs based on Office. The service has a cost of 99 euros per year. The application itself has no additional cost.

You can view, create, and edit documents from Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Acces and One Note remain exclusively for Windows 8 tablets and any desktop computer, be it PC or Mac.

It also has a section of recent documents so that we can continue with those with whom we have been working last from the first minute with the mobile and from the point where we left it. These can be stored in SkyDrive or in Office 365 itself or Share Point.

The good news is that we don't need a connection to edit. The data will be updated once we get a connection.

It is surprising that Microsoft has decided to take this step and that it has left the optimization for iPad in the background going only for the apple phones, which in themselves have a somewhat small screen and not too comfortable to work.

The iPad version will surely not wait.

You can get it in the App Store.
