We have talked a lot this summer about the Miix 320, which was finally put on sale in our country, immediately becoming the most powerful option in the Windows mid-range, and now it's time to get to know the new generation of Windows. 2 in 1 toy Windows superior to her, arriving with nothing less than XNUMXth generation Intel processors: we give you all the information about the new Miix 520.
A familiar design in a lighter tablet
Outside the Mix 520 It has not changed much compared to its predecessor, but we have to say that there was no need for it either, since following in the footsteps of the Surface but giving it its personal touch with its own hinge system, the tablet formula with rear bracket built-in that makes it can be held at various angles with total stability and without the need for keyboard it works perfectly.
The measurements of the tablet are also very similar, with a size (30x20,5 inch) and a thickness (9,9 mm) identical to those of its predecessor but with the good news that it has lost a bit of weight and is even lighter (880 grams). A spectacular leap in power and higher-level setups
Entering to review its technical specifications, in the multimedia section we find figures that are also quite similar to those of the previous model, since the screen of 12.2 inches with Full HD resolution (1920 x 1200) and the improvement in the cameras section (which, on the other hand, is far from being a matter of greater importance in a 2 in 1) is limited to the front, which is now 5 MP, as the main one.
But again there are other points in which we do find important improvements and in this case they are in the performance section. To begin with, in the standard model we continue to start from 4GB of RAM and a Intel Core i3, but this is already seventh generation. The most interesting thing comes when we consider the higher configurations, which with processors up to 7th Gen Intel Core iXNUMX and to 16 GB of RAM memory, they will have very little to envy the best of the high-end. The same happens with the storage capacity, because now part of 128 GB, but it will come up 1 TB. And, of course, we will also have the option of getting a model with an LTE connection.
Yoga 720, Yoga 920 and Yoga Vibes: Lenovo's new convertibles
Although what interests us most is the Miix 520 which enters more fully in the field of tablets, we cannot fail to mention the three convertibles that have accompanied it in Berlin. First of all we have the Yoga 720, which is the one that is closest to the other 2 in 1, by size (its screen is 12.5 inches) and by technical specifications: its resolution is also Full HD, as a processor you will have up to 7th Generation Intel Core iXNUMX, the RAM memory cap will be at 12 GB and the internal storage in 512 GB.
With a higher level and also with a larger screen, if we want to enjoy the best technical specifications we have to consider the Yoga 920, which comes with a screen of 13.9 inches with resolution 4K, processors up to 7th Gen Intel Core iXNUMX, a cap of 16 GB RAM memory and 1 TB of storage capacity. It should be mentioned that a “Vibes” version with an even more spectacular design has also seen the light.
Price and availability of the Miix 520, Yoga 720 and Yoga 920
At the moment we do not know how long we will have to wait or how much it will cost us to get hold of it and we must bear in mind that the first Prices that usually appear, in dollars and for the United States, are not usually a very reliable reference of what they will end up having in our country. It is possible that you may also have to wait a bit for them to arrive at the stores, although it is always difficult to predict how much and the only thing we can assure you that we will be attentive to inform you when there is official information. What we can say about the Miix 520 is that the normal thing is that its standard version will end up selling for figures similar to those that its predecessor had at the time, which puts it in the orbit of 700 euros.
