Today we want to offer you a comparison between Nexus 7 (2013) and Galaxy Tab 3 7.0. As you know, in the field of compact Android tablets there is a lot of competition although there have always been some brands that stood out over the others. Samsung was the first to bring a small tablet and it was very successful, but Google came up with a bet that for the most informed public has no equal. The two companies have presented this year a model of this size and for a very similar price, however, the differences are really dramatic.
Design, size and weight
If we look at the two tablets head-on, the Korean one is smaller and gives a greater prominence to the screen. However the thickness of the jacket is less and its lighter weight. As for the manufacturing, the design of the Galaxy is classic to the entire range, while that of Asus is a little different from the first delivery. Their plastic materials are similar, so in the end the taste of each one is what decides.
Screen
From this moment, you can begin to bring out the colors of the Samsung. The chosen screen resolution is anchored in the past. It doesn't even match Google's initial bet on its first model. Other manufacturers have opted for the same but with significantly lower prices. The resolution Full HD of the Nexus 7 2 and its IPS panel leave no room for doubt with one of the highest pixel densities on the market for tablets.
Performance
In this aspect there should be no doubt. We still do not know well what type of chip the Samsung team carries. We do not know if it is self-made or as many indicate a low cost chip, the Marvell PXA986. Its 9 GHz Cortex-A1,2 dual-core processor and 1 GB of RAM cannot be compared to the Snapdragon S4 Pro Qualcomm vitamin which has the equipment manufactured by Asus. Additionally, this computer uses 2GB of RAM.
In the AnTuTu benchmark tests the second doubles the first.
Storage
The Korean model has two versions of 8 GB and 16 GB while its rival doubles these two options. Although, in the first one we can expand by micro SD card up to 64 GB. This is the only aspect where the Tab takes the lead.
Connectivity
Both have Internet connection via WiFi and mobile networks, although the Qualcomm chip supports connections by LTE. In addition, the new one from Google has a dual-band WiFi antenna. The NFC would also mark a further step in communication with other devices for this tablet.
Cameras and sound
In terms of number of megapixels, the American is more prepared. In addition, in it we can use Google software and the Photo Sphere resource.
The sound of Asus equipment is very clear. In the first generation Nexus 7 it was really satisfying.
Battery
This aspect is difficult to define well, since it depends a lot on the use. But a priori, the tablet manufactured by Asus will give us a little more autonomy. It should be noted that the battery of this equipment can be charged wirelessly thanks to its support for Qi technology.
Prices and conclusions
The prices of these two tablets are very similar. In fact, the two 16GB models will be priced almost identical. It is not necessary to go into a very fine analysis to see the big difference between one model and another. Google wants to bust again the market with your Nexus 7 (2013) and he has put up weighty arguments. Not only do they attack the dominator of this sector, Apple, but on its own platform it makes it very difficult to compete with other manufacturers. Samsung has chosen a low profile for the third generation of its tablets, the price is also low. However, the relationship with the quality displayed by the model manufactured by Asus is far from its rival.

I like it, I am looking forward to September to buy it, it will be my first Tablet Nexus 7 (2013) and I want the 269 €, so the price is very tight on the market and your comparison has made me decide.
The only but that can be put, is that it does not support the Micro SD but I think that with 32GB, I can have enough.
The article is very partial. Nobody has doubts that the New Nexus will be better ... but it seems like an article to make blood from Samsung ....
Well, the capacity nowadays thanks to the cloud is not a problem ... 16GB or 32Gb, the truth is, I think it is enough to have what we use every day ... Movies etc ... It's a matter of uploading them to your (personal) cloud or offered by providers such as Google Drive, DROPBOX, etc ... and exchange ...
The rest, boy ... the N7 far exceeds the TB 3.0 ....
