Ngram, chosen as the official Telegram client for Windows Phone

Good news for Windows Phone users. The instant messaging application Telegram, which lately had positioned itself as the great alternative to WhatsApp, has announced the arrival of its official client, ngram. Coincidence or not, it does it at the perfect time, just when the leading application in this market had disappeared a few days ago from the Microsoft store.

Last week we found a piece of news that many did not understand, WhatsApp, one of the most used tools in everyday life by users disappeared from the Windows Phone store. Microsoft had released version 8.1 of its operating system for smartphones and those users who had updated noticed that the application did not work properly, the messages did not arrive or they did so too late and in some cases, a message appeared warning of compatibility problems. Those responsible decided to root out the problem, and remove WhatsApp from the Windows Phone Store with the idea that none of the new users that it has updated could download it.

We remember that Spain is one of the countries where WhatsApp is used the most, almost 9 out of 10 users of our country has it installed on their devices, and therefore, the situation may be a little more complicated than in other places where there is more variety. Telegram emerged a few months ago from the hand of Pavel Durov, which non-profit developed this application that improved security systems. The initial "boom", where many supported the idea of a massive change, is over, but it continues to grow and a large part of those Spanish users keep it in their bedroom.

Practically since it appeared, they were available various third-party apps that allowed Telegram to be used on Windows Phone devices, but the service they offered was far from ideal in some cases. As the companions of network, Ngram, so far one more from this list has finally been chosen by the company to be its official client, although it is not yet announced as such. The options that you have after the update released yesterday are the same that we found so far in iOS and Android, and it will be possible to recover the data that we have in another of the third-party applications.

It comes at the right time. On the one hand, as we mentioned, after the elimination of WhatsApp and the void that they can now fill, since the rest of the options (Wechat, LINE, etc.) are not used in a general way. In addition, it arrives just when Windows Phone was being blamed alleged security issues, one of the highlights of Telegram.
