OnePlus 3T vs Mi Note 2: comparison

OnePlus 3T Xiaomi Mi Note 2 front

Yesterday we reviewed the Technical specifications the new OnePlus 3T facing them against those of the Mi 5s Plus, but you know that not long ago Xiaomi introduced us to two more higher-end phablets, and although the Mi Mix It is not easy to achieve, the same does not happen with the My Notes 2, to which the phablet of OnePlus at our comparative from today. Which of the two do you think leaves us a better quality / price ratio? If you are still not sure, we hope to help you decide.

Integrated

In the design section, it is inevitable to notice important aesthetic differences, with a clear inspiration from the My Notes 2 on the latest Samsung flagships, including a dual edge display and glass casing, while the OnePlus 3T It is a more classic bet, with a metal casing. With both, of course, we will have a fingerprint reader.

Dimensions

Although the difference in size between the two phablets is more clearly noticeable (15,27x7,47 inch against 15,62 x 7,77 mm), we must say in favor of My Notes 2 (whose screen is slightly larger), than at least in thickness (7,4 mm against 7,6 mm) and by weight (158 grams against 166 grams) manages to stay fairly close to the OnePlus 3T.

Screen

As we just noted, the difference in size between the OnePlus 3T and My Notes 2 is justified, at least in part, by the fact that the second's screen is larger (5.5 inches against 5.7 inches). In both cases we have, yes, Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080), which leaves us with a pixel density of PPI 401 for phablet OnePlus and PPI 386 for the one of Xiaomi.

Performance

If we opt for the superior version of the My Notes 2 (the one that comes with more storage capacity), we will not find any notable difference in this section between the two devices, which have top-level hardware: they both mount a Snapdragon 821 (four cores and 2,35 GHz maximum frequency) and are accompanied by 6 GB RAM memory. It should be noted, in any case, that the standard model of the phablet of Xiaomi has 4 GB.

Storage capacity

None of these phablets give us the option of expanding the storage capacity externally through a card. micro-SD, but both come with a fairly large internal memory, even in the basic model, with 64 GB, and gives us the option to choose even a superior model that reaches the 128 GB.

Cameras

In the cameras section, we have to distribute the points between both models, since the My Notes 2 beats the main chamber (16 MP against 22 MP), but OnePlus 3T does it in terms of the front camera (16 MP against 8 MP). It will therefore be crucial which of the two is more important to us.

Autonomy

Even considering the difference in consumption that the difference in size of their respective screens can make, it seems complicated that the OnePlus 3T can exceed the autonomy of the My Notes 2 if we look at the starting point of each one in terms of battery capacity, since the superiority of the second in this sense is very clear (3400 mAh against 4070 mAh). We will have to wait to see tests of real use to be able to confirm it.

Price

El My Notes 2 it is a relatively expensive device to be of Xiaomias it sells for almost $400 to change (and you have to think that the normal thing is that this price rises as it passes through importers, although how much it does vary a lot from one case to another), which leaves it quite close to the $440 what does it cost OnePlus 3T which also has in its favor being sold directly in Europe. It seems, therefore, that in this case the most important thing is going to be our willingness to buy an imported device and the importance we give to those points where they differ the most.
