Apparently it has been a mishap with the GMS certification the one that has prevented us from talking today about the expected launch of OxygenOS and not about its delay, and it is not the first time that this has happened to the “inexperienced” Chinese company. As they have explained, ROM is fully functional and the firm's employees use it without problems, although they have not been able to meet the requirements imposed by Google to start distributing it to users.
Helen, Product Manager of OnePlus, has come out in the official forums to apologize in the following terms: “We had real hopes of releasing the result of our work for all of you today. Unfortunately, we have not been able to meet the deadline and we are as disappointed as you are. On behalf of the team and my own, I would like to apologize for the wait ”. Their goal is for the launch to happen as soon as possible and they believe it will be very soon.
But not everything is going to be bad news. At the insistence of many users about Cyanogen Mod 12 (Android Lollipop), have announced that the software is in the final stages of development and will be available "as soon as possible". Of course, they clarify that this issue does not depend directly on them, since they have no influence whatsoever on the calendar or the development of CyanogenMod despite the fact that they have done everything to make it move as quickly as possible.
Surely, they will duplicate efforts from now on so that Google gives the necessary approval for the incorporation of Google Play Services and owners of a OnePlus One have the possibility to try OxygenOS soon. It will be an important step for the company that could partly mark the next devices to be launched in 2015.
