OUYA to debut with NES, SNES and Nintendo 64 emulators

OUYA emulators

La arrival of OUYA is just around the corner. The visionaries who supported it in its beginnings when it was a Kickstarter project will begin to receive it tomorrow, Thursday, March 28. Many game developers are supporting the project and will have games as of that day and in the future, but it looks like there will be one more surprise. NES, SNES and Nintendo 64 emulators will be available from the beginning thanks to the work of some kind developers. The facilities of being an open source team have these types of results.

The news has jumped on the OUYA developer forum. The NES emulator will be provided by emuya, the SNES for SuperGNES and the Nintendo 64 for Mupen64More. This fact opens the way for more emulators from other consoles to arrive and perhaps fans of the old SEGA have something to say in this regard.

OUYA emulators

This way of adding titles borders a bit with the illegal for that of copyright, but in all mobile platforms we see emulators without anyone having raised their hands. Of EMUya it can be said that it has a store with more indie titles based on the NES ROM. This opens the possibility of even more titles and, these yes, completely legal.

A console is always measured by its games and, to date, this project is most promising. There is already a good list of confirmed games, a total of 500 titles approximately. Many of them from famous independent developers, as Portal creator Kim Swift, who will debut her next title on the platform. We knew this at the same time we met the commitment of as many developers and the signing of Keele Santiago to manage relationships with creators. This hiring could have excellent consequences for the console. It has also been confirmed that Fez, the excellent puzzle game, will also land.
