Although its usefulness remains to be seen, they have taken care of the details so that the people of the Third Age, who are the main beneficiaries, do not have problems using it. We tell you more below.

Telecare services are nothing new, in fact, in some autonomous communities of Spain, there are systems of this type for all elderly people with some problems, and they have the collaboration of large companies such as Movistar. The service in question is called On4Today and the necessary mechanisms are basically reduced to the tablet, which each patient will have to have at home, although these devices need a WiFi connection to the Internet for their correct operation. They have multiple functions including daily reminders of visual and auditory form for people with memory problems do not forget your appointments or the task that you have to do.

They will also harness the potential of cameras, that may be followed at all times by medical personnel or family members. For this, and as you may have imagined, the tablet will have a large screen, sufficient audio power and must be placed in a strategic point in the place of the house most frequented by the patient. In addition, the touch system is adapted so that the navigation is easy and intuitive for these people.

“As the aging of the population increases, there is a growing need and increasing demand for healthcare solutions that are flexible»Explains Bob Dobbins, Vice President of New Business Development at Panasonic, who is currently in an open casting to choose the tablet model that best suits the needs of the service that will begin to be implemented this November in North America.
