Less than 10 days from the new estimated date of Introducing the iPad Mini, 23 de Octubre, recent leaks of unseen components of the tablet show us the appearance and characteristics of your battery. The images would confirm what is expected of it in terms of technical specifications: the load capacity is substantially less than that of the New iPad, but also the size of the screen it will not generate as much consumption.
The middle MacRumors has received has received two photographs of what would be the battery that the expected iPad Mini will carry. The photos look like legitimate and they have the credibility of a good part of the specialized media, who assure that, in any case, they cannot be components of a device ready for distribution, but rather prototypes in the testing phase.
According to these leaks, the iPad Mini's battery would be 4490mAh, a figure much lower than that of its older brother (less than half that of the battery of the New iPad, which reaches the 11666 mAh) but practically identical to other 7-inch models (for example, Nexus 7 has a battery of 4325 mAh). The iPad Mini's battery, therefore, would perfectly match what you would expect from a tablet of its size, without contributing anything particularly revolutionary.
In any case, when comparing its battery with that of Apple's 10-inch tablet, it must be taken into account that the consumption of both devices differs greatly and, while in the New iPad it would reach the 42,5 W / h, on the iPad Mini it would only be 16,7 W / h, getting much closer to the data of the iPad 2, 25 W / h. The lower consumption would have a lot to do, logically, with the smaller size of the screen, but it would also be in clear line with the news according to which the technical specifications of the iPad Mini would be more in line with those of the previous iPad model (for a matter of reducing costs) and that it would not have, among other things, a Retina screen.
