The Chinese brand Pipo has presented in petit committee three new tablets that could become new benchmarks in the low cost imported. They all use the chip Rockchip RK3288 and they will choose high definition displays. They will soon be presented to the public.
The collaboration of Pipo and Rockchip goes back in time and has produced products that have been gaining fame among consumers. From those models that used the RK 3066 chip, they began to earn a name for their good value for money. These new tablets will be the successors of that line that used the Rockchip RK3188 quad-core SoC. Among them, models such as Pipo S1 Pro or Pipo M9 stood out, which were so successful in import stores such as Deal Extrema or Ali Express.
As we say now, the Rockchip RK3288 SoC will be used, consisting of a processor of four 17 GHz Cortex-A1,8 cores and a Mali-T760 GPU. The normal thing is that it is accompanied by 1 or 2 GB of RAM.
Now you will choose three different screen sizes being 8,9 inches, 9,7 inches and 10,1 inches the chosen ones. High definition will set the standard and we already know that the 10,1-inch model will have 2K resolutionthat is to say X. In the other two smaller models it seems that the Retina standard 2048 x 1536 pixels, which is perfect for the 4: 3 aspect ratio.
The interesting thing is that, thanks to the powerful GPU Mali-T760, may play 4K video, making them a good option as Media Center to connect to this type of screen.
These models will represent the new bet in the company's mid-range and will be shown in the next Hong Kong technology fair. There it is likely that we will see a high-end model that uses another of the Rockchip chips that are playing the most, which would already have 64-bit architecture and Cortex-A50 cores.
