These problems could cause a delay in the development of the chip and therefore could also delay the launch of these devices. On this day, Qualcomm has come to the step of these rumors to deny them, and confirm that everything continues as planned and the first devices with Snapdragon 810 will come out in the first half of next year.
The truth is that the report, which ran like wildfire on December 4, did not surprise anyone because of the precedents we have experienced this year, with a Snapdragon 805 That has been waiting to the point that Samsung had to restrict the launch of the improved version of the Galaxy S5 to Korea at first.
As they explained, the new Qualcomm SoC, which will work at speeds of 1,96 GHz and will have a 64-bit architecture, would not reach the first quarter in time due to several technical problems. The manager of the Californian headquarters explains that they have not had the aforementioned setbacks in the development of the Snapdragon 810: “What I can say is that the Snapdragon 810 runs its course and we expect commercial devices to be available in the first half of 2015 ”.
This does not mean that the launch of the terminals is not postponed, but it has nothing to do with Qualcomm that apparently follows the marked route. The doubt that assails us now is what about the Xiaomi Mi5, there is talk of a presentation at CES in Las Vegas (early January) and it would include Snapdragon 810.
